There haven't been many posts on Miomarmo lately. It's not that we haven't had anything to say. It's that our hearts have been so full, we haven't been able to write about it.
In late January, our beloved friend and co-creator of Miomarmo, Rich Mansfield, passed away from a massive heart attack. Though Rich had been writing about making his peace with the end of his life, it was still quite unexpected to us and for all those who loved him.
While Rich may not be here with us, his spirit of love, generosity, and just general joy for life live on. And we have his words to remind us of just how special and precious life is.
Rich wrote:
His last post was titled "Sunrise, Sunset", a tribute to
the fragility of life, and one of his favorite natural phemonena. I
think of him with love every time I see those beautiful colors in the
sky and know he's somewhere enjoying them still. We love you, Rich.

Rich is so alive in my heart. I was in Santa Monica last week on the walk he used to do every day. I went on the vacation we had planned together. I stayed and watched the sunset by the Santa Monica pier. I tried to watch the sunset wherever I was during my trip. His wishes were granted when it came to his passing, and I know he is at peace with his life here on earth. I can only hope for the same for myself when the time comes.
